Wyndham City Achieves Record-High Satisfaction Rating

Wyndham residents have given their Council a record vote of confidence with Wyndham City achieving its highest-ever overall satisfaction rating in in the 2024/25 Annual Community Satisfaction Survey.

The Annual Community Satisfaction Survey is conducted by external company Metropolis Research. It is one of the main ways Council tracks its performance and is designed to measure community satisfaction across a range of Council services and functions.

The overall satisfaction rating score is 7.3 out of 10 and is up from 7.1 in 2023/24.

This all-time high score is a resounding endorsement of Council's performance and direction and surpasses both the long-term average of 6.8 and the metropolitan and western region average of 7.1.

Highlights for the results included 46 Council services receiving ratings from "Good" to "Excellent", with over half improving their satisfaction category in just 12 months.

Big improvements were recorded in key service areas: road maintenance, town planning, street trees, public toilets, and climate resilience programs - many lifted from "Poor" to "Very Good" over the term.

Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Mia Shaw, said the result reflects the city's growing trust in Council's leadership, decision-making and delivery.

"This is a strong vote of confidence in the work we're doing. It shows that when we listen, we improve - and when we engage meaningfully, the community responds," Cr Shaw said.

"We're proud of this result, but we're even more committed to building on it. The score of 7.3 is our highest ever since the survey began in 2013/14. This is about continuous improvement and putting our community first."

"We've worked hard to ensure good governance isn't just a principle - it's a practice that's seen and felt across the City."

"The improvement in areas like town planning and roads shows that strategic decision-making at Council level is translating into real, tangible results."

"Satisfaction with Council's consultation and engagement also continues to climb, with more residents reporting they feel heard and valued than ever before."

"From neighbourhood pop-ups to policy co-design sessions, Wyndham City is deepening its commitment to collaboration and community-first planning as it heads into the next term."

"This year's results are a milestone - and a motivator. We're proud, but we're not done. These insights will help guide our decisions and ensure we're continuing to deliver for every part of Wyndham."
