The 2024 AFL Grand Final between the Sydney Swans and the Brisbane Lions will be broadcast on the big screen in the heart of Perth's Yagan Square, thanks to the Cook Labor Government and 7plus.
The Yagan Square Amphitheatre will play host to the free 7plus AFL Grand Final broadcast live, beginning at 10.30am this Saturday, 28 September and running until 4pm.
Football and sporting fans will have the opportunity to enjoy pre-game celebrations including competitions, giveaways, football challenges, music and other entertainment.
Hosted by 7NEWS reporter Lachie Byrne, the event promises to bring all the excitement of the Grand Final to the city, along with a chance to meet some of Perth's favourite AFL stars with West Coast's Liam Ryan and Jamie Cripps joining Fremantle's Sean Darcy live on a footy panel and autograph session from 11am.
From 12.30pm the grand final will be broadcast live through 7plus to the giant screen.
The whole family will be entertained with face painting, footy card creation, acrobatic umpires, giveaways throughout, plus a special half-time appearance by Fat Cat.
As stated by Lands Minister John Carey:

"The Cook Labor Government is driving the revitalisation of our city and is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to create jobs, economic activity and attract more people to the Perth CBD."
