The Tasmanian Government is inviting people to share their experiences with cancer services to shape the development of a new Tasmanian Cancer Plan.
Minister for Health, Jacquie Petrusma, said the plan will establish the Government's vision and priorities for cancer care over the next five years.
"Being diagnosed with cancer is life-changing, and our Government is committed to supporting Tasmanians through their journey and helping them to access the best possible treatment and care," Minister Petrusma said.
"The Tasmanian Cancer Plan will set out the strategic focus for cancer services across the health system, including prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, end of life and palliative care, cancer research, and clinical trials.
"We want to hear from anyone who is involved in cancer care, including key organisations representing specific cancer types, clinicians, researchers, people that have or had cancer, and their friends and family.
"This feedback will be essential in ensuring the State's cancer services support the delivery of the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
"Under our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we are determined to deliver a more effective and efficient health service."
The development of the Tasmanian Cancer Plan is being supported by the Tasmanian Cancer Network, which brings together key clinical and health representatives from the public, private and community sectors.
