Council sought nominations from the community for projects to be completed in the City of Burnside. Creative ideas were submitted as part of this engagement.
The community were invited to vote for the projects that they would like to see funded.
The projects which received the highest number of votes and will be funded are:
- Truck repairs and new Little Library: Webb Street Reserve
- Communication Boards: Burnside Adventure Park, Kensington Wama / Kensington Gardens Reserve AND Wombat Waterhole, Hazelwood Park
- Kaurna Sculpture: Glenside (subject to community consultation)
- Toilet block mural: Tusmore Park (subject to community consultation)
- Park bench: Toorak Gardens (subject to community consultation)
- Small street trees: Southern side of Deakin Grove
These will be installed and maintained by Council.
