Youth arrested over eastern suburbs break-ins, SA

Two male youths have been arrested following overnight break-ins on two homes at Royston Park and Payneham, according to SA Police.

Just after 3am, police patrols were called to Third Ave Royston Park, following a home owner disturbing up to three youths attempting to break-in to their home.

A search of the area located a black VW golf sedan in the street with the engine running. Checks with the owner at Payneham revealed the car had unknowingly been stolen earlier in the night.

A further search located two youths at the Marden shopping centre. One teenage boy was in possession of a watch which has been traced back to the home owner at Payneham.

The two teenage boys from the northern suburbs are currently being interviewed by police, over the break-ins and theft of the watch.

Police enquiries are continuing with possible further offending to be uncovered. More details will be released with more information comes to hand.
