The Horsham Youth Council are saying goodbye to two long standing members as they move on to greater things.

Both members have been extremely valuable advocates for Horsham's Youth and saw the Youth Council through the COVID period and the re-activation and remodelling of The Station.

Shivenesh Bhutani joined the Youth Council is 2019/20 as an 11-year-old and has served each term since. Shivanesh is passionate about young people having ready access to engaging activities and healthy food options. He has continued to highlight youth voices in Horsham by participating in the Central Activity District Reference Group over the last 12 months alongside fellow youth councillor, Will Schache.

Shivenesh will step away from the Youth Council to put his best efforts into his Year 12 studies at Holy Trinity Lutheran College.

Tom Luke joined the Youth Council in 2020/21 in support of young people's mental health and wellbeing, as well as advocating against cyberbullying. Tom has showcased his exemplary leadership by being elected as the Youth Mayor for the 2023/24 term, as well as the School Captain of St. Brigid's College.

Tom is ending his successful term with the Council to relocate to Melbourne and pursue his goals in medicine.
