Youth Group Hosts Nostalgic Drive-In Movie Night

Get ready to travel back in time for a one-night-only nostalgic experience! Griffith City Council's Youth Advisory Group (YAG), along with Pristine Productions, are excited to host a free event 'The Drive-In' on Friday, 30 August, from 5:30pm at the Griffith Showgrounds.

This event promises to be a fun filled night, where attendees can relive, or experience for the first time, the magic of the classic drive-in movie experience. Gather your friends and family, hop in your vehicle, and enjoy a timeless movie under the stars.

Ellie Andreazza, Youth Officer at Griffith City Council said that the YAG is excited to finally bring a drive-in movie to Griffith.

"We have had so many requests for a drive-in movie, so we're so excited that we have been able to make it happen, and provide another unique event for the community, in particular, our youth", she said.

Gates will open at 5:30pm, with the movie beginning at 6:30, so grab your complimentary popcorn and create the perfect cozy atmosphere. Food vans will also be available on-site, offering a variety of delicious meals and snacks. The movie's sound will be transmitted directly through your car radio, ensuring a fully immersive experience as you watch from the comfort of your vehicle.

For the safety of all movie-goers, the event must be attended in a vehicle, and patrons are to adhere to traffic directions. Vehicles will need to be stationary for the entirety of the movie.

This is an event you won't want to miss! Mark your calendars, pack your blankets, and prepare for an unforgettable evening of classic entertainment.
