Swan Hill Rural City Council's YouthInc team are excited to announce they will be supporting the upcoming Bank 2 Bank 2024 event, set to take place on Sunday, 8 December at the Lake Boga.
Youth Support Coordinator, Will Burns said the Bank 2 Bank event brings the community together for a day of fun, fitness, and camaraderie, with activities suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
"The team at YouthInc are proud to be supporting this event, that is run locally by young people.
"Participants and spectators are invited to enjoy a day by the lake while supporting local youth initiatives," Mr Burns said.
Mr Burns said the day would feature three main events: the 3.1km Bank 2 Bank Swim, a swim across Lake Boga offering a challenge to seasoned swimmers; the 5km Run/Walk, a fun and inclusive activity along the shoreline for all fitness levels; and the 200m Swim Around the Buoy, a short-distance swim perfect for those looking for a fun and quick challenge.
"In addition to the main events, participants can enjoy kayak hire and paddle their way around Lake Boga while taking in the stunning views.
"There will also be a Saturday Morning Swim Training session on December 7, offering a pre-race warm-up. To cap off the weekend, a Saturday Social Dinner will be held at Lake Boga Waterski Club on December 7 for all participants and their families.
"There's some great prizes on offer too," Mr Burns added.
Mr Burns said YouthInc are proud to support this fantastic event as it not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also fosters a sense of community and connection among residents.
