Two youths have been charged following two alleged armed robberies in Launceston yesterday.
A 14 year old boy has been charged with aggravated armed robbery and armed robbery after he allegedly entered two businesses in Bathurst Street on Wednesday afternoon and stole alcohol while in possession of a knife.
The youth was subsequently charged with further counts of aggravated armed robbery and armed robbery in relation to alleged armed robberies at businesses on 12 March and 9 March.
He was detained to appear in the Youth Justice Division of the Launceston Magistrates Court today.
A second 14 year old boy - who allegedly entered one of the businesses with the first youth - has been charged with aggravated armed robbery.
He will appear in court at a later date.
Nobody was physically injured during either incident.
