Five youths will be charged over a series of deliberately lit fires in New Norfolk last month.
Nine fires were reported over a three day period from 22 to 25 March, with garbage bins, a motor vehicle and vegetation set alight.
The five boys, aged 14, 15, 16, 16 and 17 from New Norfolk, Gagebrook and Bridgewater were charged with more than 20 offences in relation to fires deliberately lit in High Street, Pioneer Avenue, Circle Street, George Street and Back River Road.
The charges include unlawfully set fire to property x 16, unlawfully set fire to vegetation x 4 and improper use of emergency carriage service x 2.
The youths will be proceeded against under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
