Bellerive Police have arrested and charged four youths in connection with a series of motor vehicle burglaries which occurred during the early hours of Friday 7th April 2023 at Glebe Hill, Howrah. Police were alerted to the suspicious behaviour of youths in the area by a member of the public, with police locating them a short time later.
Police conducted enquiries, identifying a number of vehicles which had been unlawfully entered and items stolen.
Acting Sergeant Williams says, "Thieves can be opportunistic and often target unlocked vehicles. We are urging community members to ensure valuables are not left in vehicles, and to lock your vehicle when leaving it unattended. We would also like to thank the member of the public who contacted police as it assisted police in locating the persons responsible and a prompt resolution of the matter".
