-- Crypto exchange continues international expansion; opens Melbourne office
Leading cryptocurrency exchange, Zebpay today announced the launch of its exchange services to Australian crypto traders and expanded its global footprint by opening a new office in the fintech hub of Melbourne. Zebpay adds Australia to its growing roster of countries where the exchange is active and thriving -- increasing the reach to 132 countries across five continents, and with over 3 million active users. Zebpay welcomes Australian crypto users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies using Zebpay Instant on desktop and apps (Android / iOS). Zebpay is also extending its Lightning Network integration to Australia, welcoming the crypto community in Australia to experience the future of crypto payments.
Australia traders will have access to Zebpay's simple and secure exchange built for traders on-the-go with instant buy and sell functionalities. Australians will have the ability to trade across five fiat to crypto trading pairs including Bitcoin, Ether, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin with no fees on fiat deposits and withdrawals. Additionally, a multiple payment integration will be available in the coming days, allowing users to make bank transfers and use wallets to bring fiat to their Zebpay accounts.
Zebpay has also expanded its physical presence to establish an office in Melbourne with a new Australia Director, Sandeep Khurana (not related to Ajeet Khurana) at the helm. Mr. Sandeep Khurana's experience includes starting various fintech start-ups and enterprise incubators in APAC over the last 18 years.
"At the beginning of 2019, Zebpay was available in 20 international markets," said Ajeet Khurana, CEO of Zebpay. "Today, we add Australia to our crypto-family and can gratefully say we have a presence in over 132 international crypto-economies, which speaks volumes to our community's ambition."
"Australia is an ideal market for Zebpay's services with its clear stance on regulation, openness to fintech innovation and thirst for crypto products," added Ajeet Khurana.
Zebpay's Australia launch comes at a time when crypto regulation is a focal point of governments around the world, making it even more important for companies to maintain operating licenses. The clarity of Australia's regulatory atmosphere made the continent an appealing country to conduct business in the crypto space. Zebpay is registered and has acquired a license with AUSTRAC, and is a member of the Australian Digital Commerce Association (ADCA).
