Green energy industry leaders from the Tonsley Innovation District will join Flinders University, government and other organisations at this year's Future Energy Week.
The Federal Energy Minister Chris Bowen will open the the two-day conference (8-9 November) which is expected to attract 60 industry leaders and more than 300 professionals, researchers and students. It is open to the public and anyone interested in 'green energy' initiatives.
Conference themes cover Future Economy, Future Mobility, Future Tech, Future Grids, Future Skills, Future Fuels, Future Communities and Future Business, says Quentin Roberts, Event Director and Founder of EfficientSee.
"South Australia is perfectly placed to lead the race to a smart, sustainable, affordable, and accessible energy future towards Net Zero.
"Future Energy Week aims to collaborate, educate and elevate South Australia's answers to domestic and international energy challenges," says Mr Roberts.
Flinders' Automotive Solar Car will be among the exhibits along with the Infinitus Aero's electric plane, Tesla's Model Y, Toyota's hydrogen roadshow, Hydrogen bus, Australian Electric Vehicle Association's display of South Australia's earliest EVs from the 1970s, ifm's Showcase of cutting-edge sensors and systems for clean energy, a clean hydrogen BBQ and stands from EfficientSee, KOA Digital, GPA Engineering, the Department of Innovation, Industry and Science, the Office of Hydrogen Power SA, Phoenix Contact, Uing and Australian Gas Infrastructure Group.
The Tonsley Innovation District is becoming recognised as Australia's Future Energy Hub, known for many 'firsts' including Australia's largest rooftop solar.
More than 150 STEM students are invited to immerse themselves in a Future Energy Taster, experiencing Australia's largest Hydrogen Electrolyser, Australia's largest rooftop solar array, Tonsley's big battery, South Australia's leading energy companies, electric vehicle displays, and world class STEM facilities located at the Tonsley Innovation District.

Future Energy Week is a collaborative approach to furthering South Australian and global energy innovation and aims to build a sustainable, competitive, low carbon economy.
The event is a chance for students, job seekers and researchers to hear from Flinders University, TAFE SA and other leading institutions, to help industry and government with innovation and research collaborations.
