Inside Academic Publishing Symposium Set for Sept. 18

Pennsylvania State University

Penn State University Press will host "Inside Academic Publishing: Demystifying the Path from Research to Publication," a free, Zoom-based symposium open to the University-wide community. The event will take place online from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18.

Designed especially for Penn State faculty, graduate students and recent graduates, the symposium will demystify the academic publishing process and provide practical, actionable guidance for scholars seeking to publish their work. Sessions will offer insight into key stages of publishing - from developing a proposal and navigating peer review to understanding contracts, production and dissemination - equipping participants with strategies to strengthen their prospects for publication and broaden the impact of their research.

The symposium is free and open to all Penn State faculty, staff and students across all campuses. Registration is required; early registration is encouraged.

Additional details, including the program and speakers, are available in the event flyer.
